Ego is a self portrait created in a mannerist style to express what I believe to be one of my great character flaws. As someone who has struggled to keep their ego in check, creating this allowed me to better understand and articulate how I believe it is presented to the world. Using a bath robe and Burger King crown, I am mimicking royal attire, but in a way that is fake and somewhat absurd. This reflects a tendency to set myself higher than others and looking like a fool while doing it.
